The Industry Shines at the Builders and Remodelers Show

It was a busy day for Jason Bast of Forever Barnwood as he showed off his distressed alternative barnwood products at this year’s Builders and Remodelers Show (BRS). This was Bast’s first-time exhibiting at BRS, and it turned out to be an eventful experience as he took home the prize for Best New Product or Service.

“The show was great, a lot of quality traffic,” said Bast. “The energy is just really upbeat. I would say there’s not a better forum to get a new product out to contractors than BRS.”

The BRS has long been the legacy event for the homebuilding industry where everyone comes together and gets a feel for what’s new and how’s business. At this year’s event there was definitely an air of optimism and a showing of great new products.

“Just the sheer volume of vendors this year is impressive,” said Lowell Pratt of Pratt Homes. “There’s an energy of excitement and enthusiasm at this year’s show that we haven’t seen in a while and a number of new products we’re now looking into.”

This year’s event featured the most exhibit space since prior to 2011. In all there were 223 exhibitors, 35 new exhibitors and attendance topped more than 800 homebuilding industry members. Next year’s show is slated for April 12, 2018 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Watch for information.
